What’s the difference between mapped and original?

On the Platform, you may come across “Original” and “Mapped” spend categories. For example, you might see categories like Supplier Mapped and Supplier Original.
- organisation’sMapped spend refers to instances where we've mapped your organisations’s raw supplier data to a more standardized or parent company. This helps ensure that you can better benchmark products across different suppliers and across all organisations on Platform. For example, we might map a specific supplier to a parent company, allowing for more accurate comparisons and insights and ensuring no discrepancies with how individual organisations name their supplier information affects comparison or benchmarking on the tool.
- Original spend refers to the raw, unmodified data from your organisations's suppliers, before any mapping has been applied on our end.
These categories are designed to give you a clearer view of your spend and help you make more informed decisions.
